I wanted to save this email post from a dear sweet lady. I am posting it here because when I come back to this site for encouragement, I want to be able to read what Gigi wrote to me again and again. ************My dear friend Patty, Thank you for your very kind and moving words. You have always touched me with your openess, kindess, love, and fabulous sense of humor. I have no doubt that what awaits you on Friday is a door. The door will be opened, and on the others side is a life so bright, so astounding that mere words can't describe it. It is a journey along a path we've never walked. And we do not walk alone. We are all on that path with you, holding your hand, leading you, guiding you, pushing you, and walking right beside you. We will lift you up, support you, and hold you in our arms. You will never be alone. Never again. Oh Patty, I am so excited for you, because you are about to launch on the most wonderful journey of your life. I only wish I could be there with you to help you with your first few sips, your first few steps. But I'll be with you in spirit, and you will very much be in my special thoughts and prayers on Friday. Go Patty GO! Much love always, Gigi ===== Gigi in Oregon Pre-surg 419#/ BMI 72 / 5'4" /47 yrs 12-14-99 Fobi Pouch/Pann/Gall Bladder/Hiatal Hernia 1-11-01 Mons Resection, 12-5-01 Mammoplasty 12-7-01 210# / BMI 35 (-209# overall)

Hi~~ Just wanted to wish you ALL the best with your upcoming surgery. I'm 5 days post op and know the first couple of days are gonna be rough on you....in fact up until Saturday morning in the hospital, I couldn't believe I'd put myself thru such hell (nose tube, IV, etc). The soreness hasn't been a big issue for me yet---liquid or crushed ibuprofen seems to be working ok. My advice for anyone after surgery: as soon as the doc/nurses give you leave to walk, do as much of it as possible. It'll get you home quicker. Lord bless and keep you as safe & comforable as possible.

I LOVE YOU PATTYCAKES! It seems like a million years ago when you were waiting for an approval, and you have been so patient and positive the whole time. Now it's just a few days away, and all your persistence, good spirits, and hard work is about to pay off. You are going to do great. You are such an adorable person inside and out, and I think your life is about to start over and only become better and better and better with every day! I love ya lots!!!

Patty, We've shared so much in eachother's lives since early late last Spring. We've huffed and puffed over our kids and the bus situations and we've laughed and cried too. When we met at the Christmas party I was afraid I'd feel awkward but it was like putting on a fuzzy pair of slippers! I was so comfortable...Thank you for being who you are. I love you and I am looking forward to both of us enjoying life again. And don't ever forget that I love you very much! Stephanie
