Hey Carla, I'm glad your are doing so well. I am still having alot of pain but then again I had open RNY. I do feel great considering I have about 45 staples in my belly. I see my doc next Monday. I am so excited. Good luck on Tues. Talk to you soon!

Hi guys, Well I'm 6th day in my post-ops and everything is going fine. I had a little pinching pain or burning sensation in the general area of the staples but an ice pack did me just fine. second day home sleeping on my side and a little sore but the best sleep. My staples come out on Tuesday and then I get weighed. OF course I'm not sure if there is a difference in weightbut I sure can tell the difference in when I eat or drink. You feel everything!!!! I drink plenty of water take my vitamins, and the zantax for gas and I feel the basically the same except when I eat. The scars are healing up nicely. Well I'll post on or after Tues. 11/27.....Thxs for your prayers

Hi, this is Carla's sister Felicia. I just wanted to let everyone know that the surgery on Friday, 11/16/01 went very well. She actually got to come home a day early so that she could get on my nerves for one extra day. Lucky me!! She is home recooperating early, thanks to her willingness (or not so willingness according to her nurse) to start walking around as soon as possible in the hospital, as well as doing to breathing exercises. So far, so good.
