WOW!! I do not know what else to say! First I have the best angel/friend anyone could ask for. The responses from her posting are still amazing to me. THANK YOU ALL FOR LETTING ME KNOW YOU CARE. It feels SO good to know I am not alone in this fight. I am sad, but more then anything I am MAD!! I am very hopeful that Nicole at Zahns office will tell me what I need to do. I have also made an appointment for a sleep study. If AETNA wants more proof I will give it to them. Just thought being overweight since birth would be enough..I guess they need more convincing. Again, thank you ALL!! I need as much support and information as I can get. This sight has done so much for me and it is because of each of you!!

Dear Amy, I know how devastatingly disppointing denials can be. I was denied twice before I took my appeal to the Department of Managed Health Care. I don't know about your state, but in California that agency oversees insurance companies. Please keep trying, because you're worth it. And we're here for you. Chris Loesel

Amy, I am praying that God will grant some of HIS divine favor for you in this appeal process. You have got to fight, this is your life we are talking about. I, too wonder why we pay these high premiums only to have the insurance companies say "NO" when we need things the most. Hold your head up and get your appeal letter written. This is my prayer for you: "God, please grant Amy your divine favor with the Atena insurance company. She is your child and You know she needs this surgery. Please change the minds and hearts of these insurance carriers everywhere. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

~ANGEL FLYING IN~ If there is anyone who needs an Angel right now it's my friend AMY F. She has officially gotten her denial from Atena Ins. She is really upset about it and needs some support. She also needs information on the appeal process... If you all could email her I'd really appreciate it.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Hi Amy, Just remember there will always be a cancellation one day, then maybe they will up your surgery day. Still congratulations, Best wishes to you on your wls.
