Dear Angela.........How are you? I'm writing in answer to your question on the message board. You are what is generally consided a 'light weight.' Yeah I know you are going HA! lol But we lose slower than most. I had my surgery on July 11th, 8 weeks out now and I've lost 36 pds so far. From 256 to 220. I've read profiles of others with a starting weight around ours and they are losing at the same rate so you are on schedule. However you look at it, you will be really fine and fit by next summer so please be proud of your weight loss. You are doing great! :)

Hi Angela! Congratulations! I was so glad to see how well things are going for you. I have my surgery next Friday and I am scheduled for a Lap as well. You mentioned NG tubes. I haven't heard about these little gems yet. Would you mind, if you are up to it, sharing what they are?

Angela, congratulations on making a safe journey to the losing side. Get plenty of rest now and take good care of yourself and your new pouch! Don't forget to take time to celebrate your every victory. I look forward to watching your progress!

Just talked with Angie and she really blew me away. She was sitting up in her chair and sounds absolutley wonderful!! She said that she really feels great. Dr. S said that she was a testbook case and everything went like clockwork. Because she ran so late last night, they won't do her leak test until tomorrow. If anyone wants to call or visit, she's in room 540.... 803-791-2000. Hope everyone is doing well today!

Good Morning All- Angie was schedule for lap at 2:15 yesterday but did not get to the back until 4 pm. Her parents, her husband Matt , her minister and I sat with her in the Inpatient Waiting Area until they took her back. She never went to her room first. after she was on the table, they took us back and when her meds kicked in, we had them rocking and rolling in the aisles. We can a real gay old time the last hour of waiting. Angie is so excited about this surgery - not an ounce of fret or worry in her. I spoke with Matt several hours later and he said all went well. Matt and Angie's mother were a nervous wreck the whole day and were really worn out. Angie is in room 540 at the Lex Med Center. I'll be seeing her today and will post an update later.
