Welcome back sweetie! I'm so glad you're home where you can get the rest and care you need. Be sure Joel takes good care of you, or I'll have to come there myself! I wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery. I'm so glad everything went well for you. You thought you'd never get here, but here you are. Isn't is great to say "I'm a post-op". Love ya!

Here I am again..Karen's angel, and my name is Angel. How appropriate, huh? I went to see Karen in the hospital today. She was still a bit uncomfortable, but a little extra pain medication helped to take the edge off. Her only other complaints were a dry mouth, an itchy nose, and a nurse who wouldn't give her water after her doctor said she could have it. She had her upper G.I. test, and past with flying colors!! No leaks! Way to go Karen! I had to put a flame under that nurse's a_ _ to get her a drink! She finally did, but she was only allowed 1 oz. of water per hour. She did seem to be in good spirits and relieved that it's finally over! Hope to see her back online soon. I miss our chats.

5/16~ I spoke with Karen today. Thankfully all went well with her surgery! She sounded a little dopey (having fun with her pain killer pump..lol). She was in quite a bit of pain upon first waking up (to be expected). She was also a bit nauseous. However, by the time she was assigned a room and I spoke with her by phone, the pain was not as bad anymore. She did complain of a very dry mouth. Unfortunately she had an NG tube in for a little while, but was removed a few hours later. I will update you all as I learn more.

Karen~ Finally the big day has arrived. It will be a miracle if you & Elaine get through this thing together having such an idiot for a surgery coordinator. Your new healthy life is on its way starting tomorrow!! I am always here for you, and always praying for a safe, speedy recovery. May God guide Dr.Garber's hands on 5/16. I'm so glad God brought us together, and I'm thrilled to be your Angel!! I love you. Best of luck!

Hi Sweetie! Who would have thought we would be having surgery together! I can't believe my date got all messed up. Of course, there is a wonderful side to all of this! We will be together to cross over to our new healthy and "beautiful" side! I can't wait. Always know, that I am here for you and you are a forever friend.Good Luck to you.
