JAMES, HANG IN THERE. THE WORST IS OVER. JUST LISTEN TO EVERYTHING DR.LIN TELLS YOU TO DO. DON'T OVER DO IT. BABY YOURSELF FOR A LITTLE WHILE. IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO HEAL. BUT IT'S WORTH IT. DR.LIN IS MY SURGEON AND MINE WAS DONE 1-1/2 YEARS AGO. I HAVE LOST 166 LBS AND WOULD DO IT OVER AGAIN IF I HAD TO. GOD BLESS AND YOU ARE IN MY PRAYERS. SMILES GRACIE

Well, James, didn't mean to hit enter so quickly before! Just wanted to congratulate you on your successful surgery and tell you to get your butt out of bed and WALK! When you are finished with that, BREATHE! Your AMOS friends love and care about you and want your recovery to be successful, too. hugs and prayers....

Hey James , I sure hope you are feeling lots better soon! Please push yourself to get up and about as soon as possible cause of all the probs it can help prevent !!!! and walk walk walk ... and breathe deep ! even tho it hurts ... it helps ... come on !!! lets get this successful new life path going !!! love and hugs

I visited briefly with James today at GWU Hospital. He is not feeling too good as could be expected. He did get the ng tube out but hasn't been able to get up and walk. I tried a good pep talk hoping that would help motivate him. Also printed his card from all the comments left here for him to read. Surgery went well and like all of us he still has to face the rough road to get to the happy ending.
