I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author)FROM MY HEART TO YOU ~*~Hugs~*~

Hello Lana - I moved to Washington three years ago from Tulsa, OK. I lived in Tulsa for about 18 years and pretty much adopted it as my second home. I saw your post to the message board and had a twinge of homesickness! : ) Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! You'll find the changes with WLS nothing short of a miracle. I've prayed, wished and hoped over the last 20 years to have a "second chance" at being healthier and thinner - I never thought I would get that chance but I did and so will you. My humble advice? Walk, walk and walk after surgery. Get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging it back in baby pouch gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced, crushed, pureed? ...whatever it takes to get them in daily, deal wit' it. : )~ And let's not forget our new best(est) friend. Water. It will ALL be worth it, I promise!! One more thing, remember to CELEBRATE all the special moments, big or small. Too many people focus on the number, ie. weight. There are many "moments" to look forward to and embrace - don't let any slip by. Enjoy your new healthier life, you've earned it!! Hugs -

So close to a new you and so many emotions! I haven't had mine yet but am hoping for this summer. My thoughts are with you before, during, and after. Keep up with the posts. They do help. With each reply you get there are 10 others you have helped or touched in some form or way. Listen to your peers and mostly your Dr. and support group. they know what you need. I'll be watching for those updated posts!
