Hi everyone. When I arrived at the surgery center I was signed in. Then we (my husband and myself)sat and waited for further direction. Fifteen min. later I was undressing and slipping into the surgery gown. At 8:am I was under the care of my marvelous surgeons talented hands. At about 9:40 I was in recovery. At 10:15 I was in my room. The care given to me at the Fresno Surgery center was outstanding. I had one minor surgery problem, as one of the stapels came undone due to liquid pressure under the skin. That area needed to drain so it sprung a leak. It was frightening at first as anything red looked like blood to me but it was safe blood as it was mixed with healing fluid which is watery-red. I was released 1 day later then is normal but they wanted to make sure there was no infection in that area. So this is the latest up-date on my Jan 17th surgery. only a four more days to your new life. I know its scary, but remember you have alot of support here on this site. I will be right behind you, I go in on the 20th. I wish you a speedy recovery, and hope you loose all the weight you want. Good Luck and God Bless

Betty, Hi I just wanted to take a moment and tell you good luck with your surgery. I think it is so nice we all have the option of this surgery. You thought my surgery was in April, it is Jan. 31... so we will be in the same month too grins... i am glad your grand daughter is doing great. I know of a lot of friend that have had it and are doing wonderful. I know a few with a few set backs but still doing great. I am excited just want to get this part over with grins. I have had 5 different abdominal surgeries anyway so I know what to expect that way lol. well Happy Surgery day. Yours is coming real fast. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Smiles from Theresa

Good luck on your coming surgery. My prayers are with you, and hoping for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing. Make sure you walk, and keep up your breathing exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS! See you on the other side.
