Jodi... I hereby volunteer to become your angel if you'd like. Heck, I'll even come visit ya in the hospital if ya want. You are about to take the first step on the journey to find the new you! I wish you all the best and will do everything within my power to help you through this. In the end, it's all up to you, but sometimes you need someone there to say that things are going to be ok, that here's what I did, that "Oh my! You are lookin' too good, girlfriend!"

Hello Jodi - Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! You'll find the changes with WLS nothing short of a miracle. I've prayed, wished and hoped over the last 20 years to have a "second chance" at being healthier and thinner - I never thought I would get that chance but I did and so will you. My humble advice? Walk, walk and walk after surgery. Get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging it back in baby pouch gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced, crushed, pureed? ...whatever it takes to get them in daily, deal wit' it. : )~ And let's not forget our new best(est) friend. Water. It will ALL be worth it, I promise!! One more thing, remember to CELEBRATE all the special moments, big or small. Too many people focus on the number, ie. weight. There are many "moments" to look forward to and embrace - don't let any slip by. Enjoy your new healthier life, you've earned it!! Hugs -

JODI~~ I was a MAJOR Mt Dew junkie.... I kept telling myself I would stop before surgery... and I DID cut back, but I would still have one (almost every day) After my surgery, I missed Mt Dew more than food.... I even told a nurse that I would give her $1,000 for a Mt Dew (she thought it was a funny joke- HA- I WASN'T JOKING)... I have some lists and things that might help you on my profile page.
