Jodi, We all got here because we love to eat! I am 10 months post-op, and recently wrote on my journal page that I am so glad I had this surgery, for the specific fact that I still love food, and I can still eat just about anything I want, I just eat much less, and am SATISFIED with much less. I never feel like I am dieting or deprived of anything. If I want it, I have it. I have to tell you, although alot of people here would bash me for it, that I have a little chocolate everyday (like 3 or 4 mini Reese's Peanut Butter cups, or 3 or 4 Hershey Kisses)and it makes all the difference to this chocoholic. Good luck to you.

Everybody truly cares and is willing to help in any way possible. Good Luck on your journey. I am still pre-op. May 10, 2003 I am 39 years old and have been overweight my whole life. I have thought about surgery off and on for some time, but when I finally hit 300 pounds I knew I had to do something. I know I just don't feel and do things like a 39 year old should. I have scheduled a consultation for May 21, 2003. I am excited about doing this.
