Well, I got to spend a lot of time with Sue last night. She is doing just fine. We walked down the hall (slowly) and hung out and talked and it was lots of fun. She might not be released until Tuesday but that's ok, she's getting really used to the hospital and she seems very well cared for. Angel Kathryn hovering

Angel Kathryn back on the job. I spoke to Sue just a couple hours ago. She really is doing great. She feels much better today and says that the first day is awful but it's only one day. She said she hasn't been hungry at all. :) The doctor isn't sure when she'll be released. All I can say is YEA SUE. Thanks to Joanna too, because I was out of commision yesterday and Sue is really lucky to have another angel.

Sue - Just wanted to let you know you've been on my mind a lot the past couple of days. Glad to hear that things are going well for you. You'll be out of there before you know it and on the road to a whole new you!!!! Congratulations - you made it through safe and sound!

Sleepy Angel Kathryn here. I saw Sue last night and I feel so empowered. She's in a lot of pain, but in between the pain she has this amazing smile. She's really holding up very well. I was there when Joanna called and the nurse came right in to tell us that her other angel called. The nurse seemed pretty impressed that we have such a network of caring. :) The best part was when Sue said "I can't beleive I'm going to be skinny". Well, you are and the pain will get better. I think being an angel is wonderful, it's such a priviledge to share in this process. Keep those prayers and healing thoughts coming and pretty soon Sue will be terrorizing the hospital. Angel Kathryn signing off.

Susan, I just wanted to type a note to add my encouragement to others who have already posted. I realize you've already had surgery, so now you are officially "on the other side"! Me, too! I had laparoscopic gastric bypass 12 days ago and am doing very well, but not back at work yet. Best of luck in your new life.
