I try and email everyone with upcoming surgery dates, who have had surgery recently or are having WLS anniversaries. Sometimes I don't remember who I emailed, so if this is a duplicate, please forgive me. I hope you are doing well. I would love to hear from you. I am part of several support groups here in Jacksonville and found that they are a BIG part of my journey. If you are interested, please let me know. We would love to have you. Lori - I wanted to say congratulations on your surgery, I'm glad that things are going so well. Dr. Jawad was my surgeon as well (Lap RNY on 7/15/03 -48 lbs so far). I'm sending lots of positive thoughts and well wishes your way for much continued success. Don't worry, that pesky G-Tube will be out before you know it!!! :-)

Hey Lori - First of all, you are very welcome. Second, I can't put into words how proud I am of you. You are doing SO WELL!!!! Keep up the good work. And don't beat yourself up over weighing yourself. We all did it. (Come on folks, don't kid yourself, you know you did.) Over time, the scale becomes another tool. It doesn't matter so much what you actually weight, it is just a reminder of what, 'you used to weight' and where you are headed. I'll keep you in my prayers and I'll be stopping by soon (I'll call first) to see how you are doing. xxooxx

Spoke with Lori and her Mom this evening. Lori is home and while having some pain at times (who didn't?), is very upbeat, doing her walking, and getting as much fluid in as she can right now. What a trouper!! AND... she hasn't had a cigarette since the surgery!! So, not only is Lori a LOSER now, she's also a QUITTER... and neither one are bad at all!! WTG Lori!!

Lori, did very well with surgery. Surgery was at 2:30 P.M.. Talked to hubby this morning, he said, that Ng-Tube was already taken outr, leak test was done. Everything perfect. Lori, has been up and walking. It is so wonderful to have her on the losing side. Most likely she will be going home tonight. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. Before I left yesterday she asked me to tell everyone thanks for all the support and to say hi from her. Will update more later, as I find out more. God Bless everyone. Marion
