ANGEL LANDING!!! WHa--THUNK! OK, obviously a pre-op angel.... Tina's day is coming up fast -- basically 2 weeks and a wake-up. I'll be hanging around -- I'm not far from the hospital, and since we share a doc, this will be a great experience for me too. Let's give Tina a lot of love and support over the next few weeks. She's a tad nervous and loves getting the wonderful AMOS email and sign ups on her surgery page. Go, Tina! We'll be right by your side!

Hi Tina, I am also having my surgery Feb. 10th! Lap RNY with a BMI of 44.7. Good luck and only the most "positive of energies" coming your way! :)

My best wishes to you on your upcoming surgery. I hope all goes well for you and that you have a speedy, problem free recovery. My husband and I BOTH had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in 2001 (in San Diego, CA. ) I had mine in June and have lost 110 lbs with about 30 more to go. My husband had his in Oct. 2001 and has lost 215 lbs and is at goal. We both have the greatest respect for all of the doctors at PB and the staff too. We had the best treatment from our surgeon, Dr. Rumsey. He is fantastic!!! We also had great treatment at Scripps/Mercy hosp. The staff there is well trained and they take good care of you. Good luck to you on your journey to the losing side!!

Tina, Best wishes on your upcoming surgery. I hope everything goes smoothly and that you have a easy recovery. About the drains, I guess it depends on your Dr. Mine used one drain coming from my incision to drain blood and whatever fluids need to come out. I kept mine for 3 days and then they took it. Hope this helps,
