Hi Tina - You sound like you are in the same position that I was. 269 5'4". No comorbidities. I must admit I did not become overally concerned with not waking up, but I was worried about something happening in surgery that would put in ICU with an extended hospital stay. I think the best thing is to have confidence in your surgeon - make sure you have done your homework on him/her. Then the fact that you are a lightweight and have no comorbidities will put you way ahead of the game. I just had Open RNY surgery on Jan 2nd and had no real issues. I am off my pain medication as of today and feel pretty good. I posted my surgery experience on my profile. Another thing that kept my head in the right place pre-op was knowing what this surgery would do for me. Read through profiles of post-ops and take a look at those photos. They helped my alot. <p>Good Luck with your surgery. I hope you have a speedy recovery. And we all what to hear from you went you get to the losing side!!

hi tina!! best of luck to you on your upcoming journey to the lighter side.. i have also had 2 c-sections and a lap gallbladder removal..i am to have a lap rny.. my dr.says i should be alright..although he'll only know for sure when he gets in there..i pray i can stay lap.. i pray all goes well for you..no complications..take care, jeanne lap rny 1-16-03..happy,happy day!!:>

Tina~Congrats on your upcoming surgery. As far as c-sections and lap surgeries go, I had 3 c section cuts and 3 other lap surgeries before wls. I had my wls lap and another lap surgery since. You'll do fine.
