I just wanted to say congrats on your super weight loss. I weighed 444 when I had mine and I am loosing at about the same rate as you. I am happy to hear that others have done so well with their weight loss. You should be proud! How great it must be to buy clothes in a store. Keep up the great work!

Jerica - I just wanted to tell you that I think your attitude change is great. You can do this! If you can quit smoking for the sakes of your babies (while pregnant) then you can do this for YOU. Just make YOU a priority. It's hard for me to do...everyone else seems more needy. But we need to take time for ourselves and do things that are good for us. Hang in there. Jane

Hi Jerica! I think we might be twins..... I lost my grandmother in May also, my husband lost his job in June (still unemployed :( ) and yes, I have gone back to the smokes. However- CONGRATULATIONS!!! Welcome to the Century Club! I would include the brass and the angel choir in this note if I could! Anyway, just wanted you to know that I'm right there with you*

Hi all! I just wanted to update you on my progress. Yesterday marked 5 months since my open rny. I weighed this morning, and in the past five months I have managed to lose...108lbs! That's right baby! I am now an official member of the century club. This all just seems unreal to me. Right after surgery I decided I wanted to try to lose 100lbs by the six month mark, but I was afraid I wouldn't make it. Here I am, 5 months out and beyond that goal already. I have finally started noticing little differences in my own appearance. I went and had my driver's liscense renewed a few weeks ago, and when the woman handed it to me I almost started crying. No the picture wasn't that awful:)- I could actually see my collar bones! Just think, 30 more pounds and the weight on my driver's liscense will be right for the first time ever! I have moved the seat up and the steering wheel down in may car. I can wear my seat belt. I can sit Indian-style on the floor-and get back up! I have a long way to go, but my life is truly wonderful now compared to what it was before. I just can't wait to see what the future has in store for me. WOW! JERICA, 64 pounds in only 2 1/2 months.... that is AWESOME! You will break into the 200's before you know it! PLEASE keep us posted on all your successes! Dream what you want to dream. Go where you want to go. Be what you want to be because you have only one life and only one chance to do all the things you want to!!
