Hi Charlene, Thanks for the nice e-mail. I see you are doing great after your surgery last week. That's wonderful. I will soon be drinking all liquids and getting with the post-op program too. Charlene, It was great to get to visit you in the hospital and I am glad you are doing so well. You are going to have so much energy to keep up with those kids. Your mother was very sweet to keep me company and try to encourage me through this tough time. Please let her know that I appreciate it! Your husband is also a cutie... are you sure you didn't rob the cradle???? He seems like a real nice guy though :-) Keep up the good work and enjoy your journey!

Hi Charlene, Welcome home!!! The hard part is over and the rest will be a piece of cake (well maybe a drink of protein). I was so glad you posted your good news, it really helps us pre-ops. Hi Charlene, I'm so thrilled your surgery went so well. You hang in there and you'll be home before you know it and getting lots of hugs from your kids and hubby. (thanks Sal for letting us know how Charlene is) The hard part is over and now the fun begins when those pounds just start falling off. You'll turn into a butterfly and soar. Angel coming in for a smooth landing!! My girl Charlene is going great! I visited with her late this afternoon. Her leak test went well. She got all her tubes and IV's out and is sipping her water. While I was there we got her sitting up in a chair and she took a couple of short walks with me. Dr. Bell said she may be going home late tomorrow afternoon. She may ask to stay until Sunday since she has a long car ride home. I am soooo happy for her!!!!!

Unofficial Angel coming in for a landing!!!! I spoke to Charlene's mom (Margaret) about 3:15pm. Charlene was out of surgery but still in recovery. Margaret hadn't seen her yet and said she won't feel right until she actually does see her. Mom did talk with Dr. Bell and he said everything went fine. She also asked about Heather S. and he said she will probably be in the hospital until sometime next week but that Charlene will probably see her. I hope to get up there tomorrow to visit them both.........
