<b>6-26-03</b> I met my surgeon, Dr. Batay-Csorba today for the first time for my consultation. I have to admit, I was nervous going in, but Dr. B-C (for lack of wanting to type his name out every time) was wonderful... He was very nice, professional, and answered all of my questions (and the questions my skeptical friend had as well).<br> <br>
His staff members were wonderful, very warm, and I felt comfortable with everyone. I wouldn't say that there was anything about him that I didn't like. He definitely stressed the importance of aftercare, and all of the precautions they take... It was a tad bit overwhelming, but in general very informative.<br><br>
I would rate him a ten out of ten :)<br><br>
<b>UPDATE: 8-5-03</b> I found out last week that Dr. Batay won't be my surgeon, as he's leaving BTC in Ypsi to start up a BTC in Arizona. So who will my Dr. be? I've got no idea. I'm so totally bummed.<br><br>"
"I consider myself blessed to have had my surgery at this hospital. The nurses were incredible. Judi was the most amazing nurse, she went above and beyond. Actually all of the nurses and staff did. I was very pleased to say the least.
I found the hospital VERY quiet, although this could be attributed to the small number of patients at the time I was there. The staff there took care of us and treated all of us like family. They were FABULOUS!!!!"
"My issues are not with Dr. Lughmani, but rather with the way the clinic is run. I received quite a bit of conflicting information. And despite being diagnosed with Severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea, it took me three weeks for them to give the paperwork to the company that was handling my equipment."
"One thing that Dr. Sundheimers potential patients should know is that he is very blunt and to the point. If you're overly sensitive about being obese, you might want to find another doctor. That being said, he is very supportive of WLS when the person is qualified for it."
"I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my experience with Dr. Garcia and another member of his office, Jennifer. They were both very professional, and very prompt in both getting me in the office, as well as getting the letter that I needed for insurance purposes. A very good experience overall, and I would make the hour plus drive again with no problem.
The only negative that I had in this experience was that I had to make two trips instead of one, for insurance purposes i couldn't have my evaluation and testing done on the same day. "
