Hello Everyone: Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for thier kind prayers. I'm pleased to report that the surgery went exceptionally well. I was up and walking the halls the evening of surgery (I know we all do that *grin*. However I was doing so with very little discomfort. The next morning I was walking normally in my "flashy" Sponge Bob slippers. The only thing that was the least unpleasant in the morning was the enjoyable *cough* taste of the contrast for the swallowing test. *gag* *YUCK* I left for home around 2:00pm that day. I wish to thank the fantastic staff at ORMC. While my stay was brief, y'all made it wonderful. So today is day 5 after surgery. I'm so happy that physically everything is going so well. No real issues at all. Walking, breathing, are all noraml. There really isn't too much discomfort at all. My only struggle is trying to slow my eating down (Oy that is hard!!!, and figuring out when I'm full. To those who have recently had the surgery, I am praying that you will have a speedy recovery. For some that are hurting or struggling I wish you God's blessing for comfort and strength. Finally for those you are thinking about the surgery, or thier "day" is just about here...stay resolute, know the reasons you are about to have the surgery are real, and can be amilierated. I wish you God's speed for your surgery and recovery. Don
