Hi all! Laurie went home on Sunday evening after a good, but sometimes frustrating, stay at the hospital. I will let her fill you in on all the details when she is back on-line. She is doing great and has told me that she is not hungry at all at this point. She is moving around really well and other than getting bored from all the relaxing, she is pleased with the whole experience. Allthough yesterday she did mention that her cats really wanted to keep pouncing up onto her stomach while she was in bed... doesn't that figure! Anyhoo, I am sure that Laurie will be back here soon to fill you all in on her progress. Take care.

Hi Everyone! Laurie went into surgery on Thursday morning at 9:00 AM the surgery went well and by 11:50 she was in the recovery room. I visited her at the hospital on Thursday night around 8:45 PM (she was taking one her required walks around the facility.) She was very tired and very thirsty! She seemed to be doing well, all things considered, and was eager to see what tomorrow would bring. She explained to me that her stomach felt like she had done 200 situps and that the pain was not sharp but a dull aching soreness. We talked about horses and we dreamed of the day when she will be able to ride again. She sends her love, prayers and thanks to all of you who have shared in her experience. I will post another update tomorrow with the latest "recovery" news.
