Surgery went smoothly, GREAT to be first in the morning, Dr. Nussbaum (NJ) excellent. No unusual aches or pains and very little pain overall. Strange reaction to the morphine pump, was like a wide awake drunk and sang to the other patients (very softly) - "I'm Henry the 8th I am" perhaps one of the most annoying songs in the world, but then they were on the morphone too and urged me on to all those old girl scout songs, and the grand finally was "I am Woman...." Our pod of four (step down unit, St. Barnabus, Hosp, Livingston, NJ) did a lot of laughing. Weight was up one pound at my one week checkup, discouraging, considering eating only sf Jello, ice chips and low fat/low salt chicken broth, and that I gave up parts of my body during the operation - someone mentioned don't worry the doctor will have to do it over for free - sure, just what I want - Fleet kit #3 goody, goody, let's do it again... I think I would avoid almost anything NOT to do the FLeet kit EVER AGAIN. The operation was easier.
