Hi Deb, I can hardly believe that you are 7+ weeks postop! I know you must be disappointed at the moment, but Debbie, I just know that joy will return once your body realizes it just has to let go of its old ways. The head part I know will be the hardest thing for me. In fact part of my game plan when the muggly ugly Plateau hits is to try to view it as a respite in which I will take stock of where I was, where I am and where I will be one year from May 31, 2001. Kick up my protein, zilch most of carbs, get my knee pads out and spend more meditation time with my treadmill on an incline! You've been through a lot, you WILL get through this, look what you've already come through...Now, you can remind me of all this in several weeks from now when I am where you are now. Take care, be kind and patient with yourself. We are going to be just fine. Hugs, Carolyn B.

Dear Debbie..what an honor it has been being your "angel" there is an old saying that when you watch over someone you are then responsible for them...So Deb...you have me in your life forever..(As I expect you as my "angel" next week to alway be here for me!) I am so proud of you,,,I hear the zest of a wonderful person back in your voice more and more every day...You are amazing in how you are doing...I know that Dr.Clayton will be so pleased...You are like a ray of sunshine to talk to..no matter how you feel...it is only in your voice that I can tell if your tired, not in what you say...you are so "UP" I know when you are back to full health they won't be able to keep you down...Tom is luck to have you as you him...your sparkle and cheerfulness is contagaous. Keep up the good work....can you beleive your 2 weeks post op...pretty soon I'll be handing in my wings...(or changeing them for a smaller size)

Angel Lyn reprorting....I just spoke with Debbie and she sounds weak but good...very little pain..they are taking out her central line and the rest of her tubes today...ALSO the MAJOR EVENT Debbie had ice chips last night for the first time,,and she said it was wonderful...great..heaven and soooo sooo good. on the other hand the juiced down protein drink was not so wonderful..gave her a bit of dumping...so much for that one..but the chips were good...I'll report later...and by the way Deb will be dancing home on Thurs...(a slow dance of course not a polka)Please keep the prayers and messages comming

Just wanted to say, glad to hear that you are doing better. I guess what they say is true, every cloud has a silver lining...the bad news is you haven't been able to eat anything yet, the good news is, just think how much weight you have lost!!!LOL. Hope to hear that you are up and dancing real soon. Les
