Dear Alicia~~~~I am so impressed that you are such a very strong woman in the face of something we all fear. You were so very lucky to have your cancer detected now--as you said, if you had waited longer to have a baseline mammogram done complications might have happened. As it is, my dear, May God hold you in the palm of His hand and guide your surgeon to do great things for you. I will keep you in my daily prayers. Be well, be strong, be blessed.

Alicia, I am so sorry to hear about your cancer. I wanted to share some hopeful thoughts with you...My mother had breast cancer 5 years ago, Her mother, 25 years ago, my mother in law 7 years ago, and her mother (my husbands grandma) 6 years ago. ALL OF THEM SURVIVED, and are cancer free now, living healthy full lives. Please try to keep a positive outlook, this cancer is someting you CAN and will beat! My prayers will be with you EVERY day. You have such a wonderful advantage over many women who have been diagnosed with this cancer in that since WLS you have become a healthy and strong woman. You already have a great edge over many. Keep your faith in God, even when you want to question it, he is still there for you, and we here at AMOS are too. Peace be with you.. you will heal Tami

I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. I do know of someone who has been through your experience. Her name is on the SC peers page. Click on show all names and go down to the Aiken section. I think her name is Patsi Parker she has 2 pages listed and pictures and a website. Hope that helps. God bless you and I hope all will come out o.k. "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid."
