Hi Shayne, CONGRATS on your weight loss. I am 5' 1/2" and am now 132. We must be twins LOL. It took me a lot longer thow. I am 9 months post op.

I know you don't feel this now, but you are very lucky to have had a surgeon careful enough to find the misfired staple. What a lifesaver.

Hey there, spoke with the lady of the hour Shayne and got the low down on her surgery. She had the lap rny and they were at the very end of the surgery, then discovered that a staple had not been fired in the correct place, they went back in, tried to catch the staple and ripped it out causing them to have to do the entire surgery through open. Needless to say, she's not too happy, I know I wouldn't be. She had put make up on today and was giving me hell because she was having to stay on her liquids where I've progressed from liquids to whatever I want. LOL Give it time Shayne, I gave her some pointers and I know she'll do just fine. She said that she's down 14 pounds!WOOOO HOOOO!!! Wishing her all the best, angel(devel in disguise), Leigh Love ya

Hey this is Shayne's angel reporting for duty. She just got to come home today. Her mom says that the hospital chose to do an open procedure on her instead the lap RNY and Shayne is royally pissed and hurt. She was in the bed and I didn't get to speak to her, but she's doing well with no apparent problems at this time. Ya'll fill her page up for us ok? She really needs the support.
