Tabatha, You are a very strong and brave person. I haven't (as far as I know) met anyone who didn't have success until now. Your words were bold and to the point. One of the reasons I haven't gotten this before now, (RNY) was afraid of failure. (hoping for open rny this summer)I have heard of one other who had the bypass 15 yrs ago and then had 3 kids, gained most of the weight back. She just got a revision. Her insurance denied her, saying she failed. But she succeded in loosing the weight, was able to have kids and now needed the revision to correct the way it was done to make it a better tool for her to use now and be able to use it in the future. The insurance did change their answer on the aopeal. So you didn't fail, but the surgery did. Along with the location not having the knowledge to help you down the road when things got tough. Your an ispiration to all of us who read your posts. THANK YOU! Good luck with your revision. My thoughts are with you, for a uneventual, speedy recovery, during and after surgery. Big hug and a warm fuzzy.

Hi Tabatha! I wanted to respond to your question about wanting to know what it is like to be thin. That is a question I wish I had the answer to..haha!! I too, have been overweight all my life. I always wonder what thin feels like. I feel sooo heavy right now at this point in my life, I can only imagine what 150 lbs feels like! You will soon know and then you can let me know. I was sitting in my truck and looking around at the moms at my kids' school and I saw a "normal-sized" lady and thought...I wanna be just like that....NORMAL!!! I am so curious as to how it will feel, since I have never been. Will I be able to handle it? Will it make me happy? Will I like the attention I will get? So many questions. We deserve this.......just remember that! I am 31-years-old and can totally relate to you and the way you feel. Congrats on your re-birthday!! Best wishes on a speedy recovery and my thoughts are with you!!!

Good Day to all. Well I am counting the days until I will get to enter into my new life. Wish I had something to do to keep me busy. As of today I have 35 days and a wake up until surgery. I am so excited. And nervous and all that good stuff. It has taken so long to get to this point. And I can't wait. Thanx everyone for the info on the protein drinks!

Tabatha - I think Walmart has the Atkins shakes, which are good. Send me the name of the book when you get it. I'd love to read it. Take care.
