I haven't posted in forever, but I just wanted to give a short update on my recent progress. I've hit a significant goal for myself...I can now say my weight starts with a 1!!! Sure, it's 199.5, but hey I'll take it. This is too cool, seeing as I haven't weighed this since before I got pregnant which was 11 years ago! Oh yeah, and my mom just had surgery a week ago and is doing fine...I'm so happy for her and know she'll be successful. One last thing, I have a new picture and am wondering if it's up yet?

Dear Angela, It is so good to read a post where one of our AMOS friend's have everything fall right into place. I wish you continued success. I cannot wait to *cross over* and start my journey. I hope to God that my journey will be as pleasant as yours has. I believe it will be! PEACE

ONE MONTH UPDATE…I had surgery on January 9th. At my one-week post-op appointment, I had already lost 24 pounds! Ever since, I had been on a very early plateau. It seems like as soon as I started to be able to eat (instead of just liquids), my body went “WHOA, that’s it for you.” But, TADA…It finally broke! As of last Thursday I dropped 6 more pounds (basically over night). So, that’s a total of 30 pounds in 1 month. WOW! I’m excited. I also took my measurements and have lost 26 inches. Thanks to everyone who recommended taking measurements…I know it will help me stay encouraged even when I reach plateaus on the scale. As far as eating, sometimes I feel like I can eat too much (I’m definitely not full on 1 or 2 ounces!) or am taking in too many calories for this early on. Also, I’ve gotten sick a few times but I think this was due to eating too fast? I’m not sure. I see my surgeon again on the 19th, so I intend to talk to him about it then. By the way, in case anyone is wondering…I had LAP RNY, was only in the hospital for 24 hours and was back to work at exactly 3 weeks post-op. I could have easily returned at 2 weeks but had the extra time off, so took it. This surgery was SO MUCH EASIER than I expected it to be. NO regrets so far…I believe this is the best thing I could have ever done for myself!
