Brandy is home now. She got home yesterday evening. I have not gotten to talk to her yet. I spoke with her mom this afternoon and Brandy was sleeping. Mom said Brandy was getting cramps in her legs. When I talked to Brandy yesterday before leaving San Diego she sounded in good spirits. And she lost 14 lbs since surgery. Yahoo!!Keep up the good work Brandy.

Brandy, So happy to hear you are feeling better. Sheri has been keeping me updated. I wish you all the luck for a speedy recovery. I hope I do as well as both Sheri and you have done! Carol

i hope brandy is recoverying ok at home, getting up and moving around, must be an effort but you have to really push yourself, see what you can do? hugs, love and prayers, deb

I talked to Brandy this morning.She was discharged out of the hospital on Sunday. She is still in some pain. She said that there are a group of gastric bypass people on the 1st floor and they have been gathering around the pool to talk. Brandy can't wait to come home. She is scheduled to come home on Wednesday. She misses her kids and husband alot. She had broth from the sushi restaurant across the street from the hotel. Her mom brought some back for all the gastric bypass people.Good job Mom!!Will update tomorrow.

I talked to Brandy this afternoon and she sounds 100% better. She said her fever is gone and her blood pressure is normal now. She is having pain in her back and bottom, probably from the bed. But she is doing awesome.Yahoo! I sent her a teddy bear and she received it today. She named him/her Bari (don't know if I spelled correctly)after the surgery. Will update again soon.

I talked to Brandy's mom for a minute tonight. She said Brandy still has a fever. The Dr. walked in so she said she would call me back. Please pray for Brandy's recovery. Please take away her fever and pain.

I just got off the phone with Brandy. She is in alot of pain. She developed a fever during the night. Her temp is currently 99.9. They removed her catheter this morning. They got her up last night around 8:30 pm and she walked around the 9th floor for her first walk. So very proud of her. Will update later when I speak to Brandy. She was on her way out for another walk.

5/22/02 I just talked to Pam, Brandy's mom around 8:30 pm. Brandy's blood pressure was up and they are trying to get that under control. Brandy is in alot of pain and they also just upped her morphine. She was awake but didn't want to talk and I dont blame her. She is also sharing a room. Please say prayers for Brandy. God please take Brandy's pain away. I just went thru this 2 weeks ago and didn't have this much pain. Will update soon again.
