Like the good angel that I'm trying to be, I've been calling and checking on my 'lil angelette everyday. She was discharged from the hospital yesterday (WOOHOO!) and is now staying at the comfy hotel where she'll be until the good doc clears her for a flight back home. She is being a good girl and taking her pain meds (liquid Loritab) and is getting her rest. Everyday she's sounding better and better but today she sounded phenomenal...it truly does get better each day. She's on the road to recovery and I couldn't be more pleased. Please help me welcome Julie to the lighter side by visiting her surgery page and posting your comment. I'm sure she'd love to read all the posts when she gets home! Thanks AMOS family!!!tannedtigress 22 years, 5 months ago

I talked to Julie about 3 p.m. She was in quite a bit of pain. She said they had just started a new I.V. with some other kind of pain meds (she couldn’t remember what kind), as she was very nauseated from the morphine. I asked her if she had her leak test but she said Dr. Owens doesn’t do leak tests. She had her first liquid “meal” today…a couple sips of broth and bites of jello. She also got to take a shower this morning and she said that zapped all of her energy. I’m reminding her that she needs to try and walk but she’s not really up to it…she’s in a lot more pain that she expected. She said both of her c-sections were a breeze compared to this surgery! L I feel so bad for her…I wish I could visit her, but I’m so glad she has another angel, Donna, who’s been right there. Doctor Owens said, depending on how she’s feeling, Julie may go home tomorrow or Tuesday, though I think she is planning to stay until Tuesday. My mom has printed Julie’s surgery page and will be bringing it to her and picking her up from the hospital to drive her to the hotel where she’ll be staying for about a week. But, it’s not too late to post a word of encouragement for Julie to read when she returns home, so please do so!!! Feel better soon Julie!!!DJeffrey 22 years, 5 months ago
