Well, here is my story. I am 38 years old, the mother of 4 boys, ages 19, 16, 14, and 11 and single. My 19 yr old is on his own, my 14 yr old has autism and is alot of work, we decided to have him move in with his dad so he has better school and more one on one attention that he needs. I have not always been fat, when i got married at 19, i was about 140#, and looked really good, but after 4 kids and a unhappy marriage, the weight crept up.
I decided to have the RNY surgery last fall, after years of trying to lose it on my own and with no success. I did go for a consult for the surgery years ago, but chickened out. I decided that if i am going to lose weight, i have to do it this way. I am from a family of obese people, my mother died in 2003 from a massive heart attack, and I dont want to end up like that.
