Well today starts my story for the rest of my life, but first what about my life to this point.  I am 36 years old, 300 lbs and I have been overweight all of my life, moreso in adulthood.  I have 2 biological daughters 13 & 14, been married for 15 years and am a foster mom of 3 siblings ages 2, 4 & 5.  I have rode the weight rollercoaster so many times that I'm a gold card member LOL.  I've thought about and researched the surgery for a year and have come to the realization that the majority of risks involved are onces I have been facing already or will in the future.  I want to be HEALTHY.  I want to run on the soccer field with my kids and the beach with my husband without feeling like I'm having a heartattack.

My Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow January 10,2007.  My biggest fear is not the surgery, but what I miss out on if something goes wrong.  My daughters growing up, getting married, becoming parents and I a grandmother.  Growing old with my husband.  The strangest part about my fear is that it is one of the main reasons for having the surgery...extended healthy life with my family.  The pain and Jello are a small concern compared to leaving my husband and children.  THEY ARE MY LIFE
