well i am almost at my 20 week post op!!! can't believe it... I started this journey at 560 pounds and as of today i am 425 pounds and that feels amazing.... since june 5,2013 i started at 512 pounds and currently 425 that is a loss of 87 pounds since surgery!!!which is awesome but i still feel like i'm not doing enough.... i feel stuck!!  I have been battling 425 for about 3 weeks now i think!! i guess i just need to know that even though i'm not perfect....i'm still a work in process and at least i havent given up... i want people to realize just because you have surgery doesnt mean things arent hard!!!  i struggle some days more than others... but i am so grateful to have had this surgery!!! I would so do it all over again.... even though its tough, i am loving myself more and more each day... life is def worth living now!!! Thanks for everyone's support then, now and in the FUTURE!!!!

well today i am 12 weeks post op.. the day i got out of the hospital i was 512 pounds and as of today 435 , so i have lost a total of 77 pounds in 12 weeks... Time has gone by so fast and it is still taking some time for my mind to catch up but i do feel amazing and i know its only gonna get better!! i can only imagine what its gonna be like being a year out!! The tough part is though is knowing what to eat at times... I get bored really easy and tired of the same food all the time and want mac and cheese and stuff like that but looking for better alternatives...

I am just looking forward to the future and the things i will be able to do!! I am getting stronger everyday.... AND IT FEELS GOOD!!!

Well i had my open RNY gastric bypass on june 5, 2013

Surgery went well no complications i was in the hospital for 3 days and then came home. It was a really rough week... I have been emotional and have cried because of the pain...but now that i'm a week out each day seems to get easier...

 

Well the time is coming up quick... i have only about 5 days before my surgery and i'm def getting very nervous but super excited all at the same time...  i feel like my brain is going a million miles a minute just thinking of everything and what i still need to do... or what do i need... but i am soooo ready after waiting almost 4 years the day is finally almost here...

I guess i'm nervous if i'm gonna do good...but i'm ready for this next stage of my life!!! 

So after fighting with the surgery center, i was finally able to see the surgeon who agreed to do the surgery!!! WOOOHOO!!!  

And yesterday after calling and calling ...... i was told that they have to discuss my case in a high risk meeting!!! but i asked for a date for my surgery at first they said they couldnt give it to me until the high risk meeting but after not giving in i was called like 2 hours later and was given a surgery date.... FINALLY and was told as long as all goes well with the meeting then my surgery date will be on june 6,2013!!!! WOOOOHOOOO finally ...i am sooo excited but soooo scared at the same time!!  the surgeon did tell me that i would probably have to have a open RNY which scared me but after 3 and a half years of fighting i am very happy even though its only a month away!!! 

I have finally finished everything that was on my checklist... Went and saw my nutritionist and the nurse practitioner and great news she is going to have the coordinator submitt my paperwork for surgery... i am sooo happy!!! finally after 3 years fighting it is getting soo close!!! I'm sooo excited they said it could take up to 2 weeks to get approved then i will be able to make a appt with the surgeon and hopefully get a surgery date!! 

So i have been going through this program for 3 years and i'm still fighting!!! i just wanna lose this weight so i can have my surgery!!!as of yesterday i am 512 and i have to get to 450 so i can have surgery!!! so i need to lose 62 more pounds!!! i need some help and suggestions!!! i feel so lost and feel like this will never happen any suggestions?? what can i do!!!

well i went to see the nurse practitioner this last monday and we are on our way, i had to do some blood work i have an appt to go to the dietition, and do a sleep study and i have a appt for a psych. evaluation. The nurse practitioner said as soon as i lose 100 pounds we will try to get the surgery done for me, so please everyone pray for me!!!!!!!

I turned in my begenning paperwork,  so i am starting the process...
i'm just so nervous. I called my insurance yesterday and they called me back and told me if i go to a certain program at a certain hospital and if i have type 2 diabetes and over 35 bmi then ohp/careoregon will pay for the surgery. but until i actually see that it is approved and have a date i don't wanna get too exited!! I really don't wanna jump the gun!!! but i wanna get very exited,but i'm so nervous and scared cause my bmi is "90" i probably should figure out how i can try to lose at least 50 pounds. but if i have surgery will i be ok even if i'm this big???
I so need people's input!!!

Well today i am so wiped out!!! yesterday i had a therapy appointment,it was a really great one i got alot of things off of my chest!!!  Anyway i also went to my bariatric orientation. there was a lot of good information!!
I just don't understand why people don't pay more attention and then ask questions about things that were already answered. well i made it through it thank goodness! now the next step to fill out the paperwork, and send them in. I so hope it works out!!!! everyone please cross yr fingers 4 me!! I hope this works i so hate this weight!!!!
