Just a quick update
Dec 01, 2007
I am doing great! I just hit 104 lbs. lost this week!! I will be @ my goal after I lose 46 lbs more. I feel really good. I feel like I am a normal person now. I am just a healthier eater. The portions totally don't bother me because I can't eat too much at once anyways. I love Subways wraps w/ turkey & lots of veggies. I usually finish almost half of one. I have had a few drinks on ocassion. I have not ever had any problems w/ any food or drinks. I have never thrown up either, thank God! I rarely eat sugar. Maybe a bite of something if I really want it but thats all I need, just a bite to fulfill the craveing. Anyways so far so good. I am so happy I did this. My husband is so proud of me & loves the weight loss too. I'll write back when I weigh in under 200 lbs.
4 month update
Oct 14, 2007
I just had my 4 month anniversary last week on 10/5 & I am doing great. I have lost a total of 85lbs. I lost 10 before my surgery & 75 since June 5th 2007. I am eating more of a variety than I thought I would be after this surgery. I love turkey, swiss, onion & avocado rolled up together, cottage cheese, & any kind of salad. I just make sure I chew up the lettuce really well. It is so funny because before surgery a salad was never my 1st choice of a meal but since surgery I love salads. I do still struggle with my fluid intake & some days I only get in about 55 oz. I need to work on this. Also, protein intake is not always as high as it should be but I just keep on trying. I am lucky because my mom and I both had this surgery 5 days apart. We have eachother to go through this with. My mom is doing great too. Everyone is really starting to notice my weight loss. I am down from a size 26/28 to a 18/20 & that feels good. I will update again soon maybe next time I will be in the 100's.
It's already been 1 month!

My surgery was on June 5, 2007. I had the laproscopic Roux en y. I weighed in at exactly 300 lbs. the morning of surgery. I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights. Everything went great! I did the liquid diet for 2 weeks then moved on to pureed foods. I am not ever hungry. How weird is that? I feel great. I have lost about 21 lbs. in the 1st month. I actually have stayed about the same for the last week & a half. I'm not sure why. I am a little disappointed with this. I guess I need to start a daily exercise routine. I kinda thought I would have lost a little more at this point. I am still very excited about my new lighter life but of course am very anxious to get there. I have not gotten sick from anything I have eaten so far. I am really having to work hard to reach my liquid goal. Water is quite boring! Also, protein is a little tough at this point to to get enough of. Anyways so far so good.
