I went to my Dr. Guske yesterday to have my staples and drain removed. I was told to get on the scale too. Imagine my surprise....in the ten days since the surgery, I've lost 25 lbs. I know my eyes increased when I saw the scale read UNDER the 400 mark. My sister-in-law, who was with me, wanted to cry. I was just glad to know that the past week wasn't in vain. It DID hurt, but the pain is slowly going away. Even now, I feel much better than I ever thought I would have the day after surgery. To the pre-ops, there's no way to imagine the pain involved after the surgery, but it does lessen dramatically with each day. Do your best to focus on other areas....such as walking to certain locations. My thoughts and prayers are with all the pre-ops as they prepare to take their first steps on this journey.

Elsie is a trooper I'm sure the nurses will never forget the froggy stylin ..Elsie looked great a bit of a sore throat and bum and she has along ride home...So i'm sure we will be hearing from here soon

Lloyd and I went to spend the afternoon and evening with Celi yesterday. She was doing very well and was moved to her new room around 8pm last night. She took her first walk with her brother, Mike. Her spirits were good...but she is thirsty as a dry sponge on a hot day! :-) Hopefully, she will be able to have a sip of water today. Her only complaint was that her butt was getting sore from laying and sitting for so long. They said that she may be released Saturday or Sunday...depending on some tests.
