3 Month check-in

Apr 21, 2009

OK, so it has been three months since I had my surgery.  I am so glad that I made this decision to better my life. My doc tells me that all my labs are looking good and that my glucose levels are normal!!!  WOO HOO  It is nice to hear that even though I haven't taken my diabetes medicine since 2 weeks pre-op that my blood sugar is under control with my diet..   That is probably the biggest thing for me... Now I just need to concentrate on getting enough of the right protein and fluids.  Some days I struggle with the protein and fluids but am figuring it all out.

I haven't been depressed at all which is something that I worried about.  I have very short pity moments then move on, I am a firm believe in not dwelling on the past since you can't change it.  I only want to think and work towards what I can change or influence.  The hubby is so GREAT and SUPPORTIVE...  He is always giving me compliments which I am still having a hard time accepting.  I have a few co-workers who are also a great support to me...

My hair has started to fall out a little more than I would like but so far no bald spots or anything like that.  I am really hoping that this is just the usual loss and not more than that.  I am thinking about getting a new hair do when I hit 80 pounds list anyway....

Alrighty I am done with my book for now...
