I am one week post op and doing great. My surgery went very well.
Dr. Fang was able to complete the Lap RNY procedure without cutting me open. He was wonderful and took an extra hour and a half to cut away all the adhesions bound to my intestines and everything was a success!
I left the hospital on Saturday afternoon and have been healing like a pro since being home.
I got on the scale today for the first time and I have lost 15.4 lbs. I was shocked and overjoyed.
I have always had the hardest time loosing ten lbs in more than a month, and now I have taken off 15 lbs in one week.
The thing that is the biggest surprise is.. I AM NOT HUNGRY!!! What a concept. I eat exactly what I am suppose to and not one hunger pain!! WOW!
Well, I am off to spend time with my daughter.

4 days from right now I will be in recovery! I cant believe it! It has been such a journey just getting here.
I had my Pre OP testing and Class on Friday. I learned a lot in the class. The Bariatric Center at Banner Good Sam is employed with some wonderful people. I can will never be able to thank them enough for all the help they have given me.
I started the liquid diet yesterday. I have to say that it is not easy, and I have slipped two times, but I keep getting right back on road I am suppose to be traveling.
My doctor doesn't make his patients do the liquid diet, but I am trying my best to follow the liquid diet, in hopes that my liver will shrink some before surgery. The chances of me having the surgery done Lap is slim, so I am doing all I can to help the situation.
I was down 4 lbs on Friday, which feels good.

I can not believe that the day my paperwork has been sent to the insurance company has actually arrived! This has been such a long ordeal. But I am finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
I have had the pleasure of dealing with the Bariatric Center at Banner Good Sam. Hospital for the past couple months, and let me say... If everyone in the business of weight loss surgery, had the personalities and the wonderful ability to deal with people the way Hauna and Liliana have dealt with me, this surgery ordeal would run so much smoother for all involved! I know I am in the right place. This has taken me almost 1 year and a half to get to this point and some of the people I have had to deal with are real pieces of work! (including some of the Dr's.)
Anyway, enough of my venting... My paperwork (30 pages) was sent off to my insurance company today. I should know something next week. I have done everything they ask and I am ready to pay the $5000 deductible that they require! So everyone keep your fingers crossed for me.
I would love to get some opinions on Dr. Daniel Fang. If you wouldn't mind sharing. Does anyone else have Banner Insurance? I would love some feedback about Banner.
I plan on joining some suport groups. Anyone involved in my area?
