Hi everbody! I'M FINALLY HOME and taking my seat on the LOSER'S BENCH! WOO-HOO!! Surgery was 11/3 and it went perfectly. It started a little late, but my doctor said it was perfect without any complications. The only real issue was that I was scheduled to come home yesterday, but they kept me because my oxygen was a little low and they wanted to test for bloodclots in my lungs or legs, but none were found. I just need to expand my lungs by doing deep breathing excercises for the next week. OH, but there WAS AN INCIDENT at the hospital.. One of the nurses brought me my meds the day after surgery in tablet form and when I told her it should be smashed she kept insisting that it was ok and to take it.. so be being "trusting" went ahead... luckily it didn't hurt me, but it felt stuck for quite some time.... Needless to say, my doctor and the director moved her to some other dept. geesh!!

Thanks Barb! I TRULY appreciate all of your help. You're a true ANGEL. I can't believe I'm just 9 days away. I'm so excited I could burst! But I have to admit, I'm getting a little jittery.. I actually had a dream last night that I woke up and they told me my surgery was all done and no complications.... then I work up for real and realized I'm STILL WAITING... LOL!!

Valerie...only 9 more days until your crazy new life begins. Hang on girl...the ride gets wild at times!!! I wanted/HAD to be the first to post on your surgery support page. You don't worry about anything but being focused on the surgery itself. I'll keep everyone calm(OMG...do I know what I'm getting into?..LOL) Sliding over on the losers' bench...making a spot for you. Yes,girl...It's REALLY happening!!!!!!!!! Muah...Barb
