Almost a year later......

and my vertical sleeve surgery is scheduled for November 26th, the day after Thanksgiving.  So I will be fasting this turkey day which is just fine by me!

I made the decision to get the vertical sleeve instead of the band.  One, I think the vertical is a little more aggressive as far as weight loss goes compared to the band.  Secondly, my mom had the band a few years ago, she did lose alot of wieght initially but some has come back.  I realize that isn't the sault of the procedure, but it did seem that she was able to eat alot early on.  Additionally, she changed insurance carriers and it has been a pain in the ass for her to get scheduled for a fill,  A HUGE PAIN!  I also liked the absorption aspect of the vertical.  Seems that less supplements will be needed.  So I am feeling very good about my decision as surgery draws near. 

I catch myself feeling my arm, or leg or hip or rear and I'm realizing that they are not going to look the same very shortly.  I am so ready for my body to catch up with my brain.
