Well, it seems that my story sounds so much like so many others that I have read here. I have been overweight all my life even since childhood. I have tried about every weight loss program out there, and they all work for a while, but then life sets in and the old eating habits come back... and so does the weight. In the past couple of years though, I have had some medical problems that have started..borderline diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and lots of pain in my hips, knees and feet. I knew it was time to make some permanent changes. After a lot of praying, studying and talking to others, I made my decision for VSG.
I have a wonderful husband, 4 children, two of which are still at home, and two grandchildren.
As I am writing this, I am 4 days out of surgery. I am so excited about the future. Can't wait to get my health and quality of life back!
