Originial Decision-WLS 2004 RNY

I feel like my weight problem is taking the best years of my life from me. Even though I was active in high school, I still missed out on so many things because of my weight. I believe that I have battled periods of depression in my life due to the fact that I can not maintain weight loss. I work in health care and I'm a college student (major-health care admin/social work). I believe in God. I have a close relationship with my mother. I have Polycystic ovary syndrome and my primary care doctor believes that's why I can not control my weight. I've tried everything faithfully from Weight Watchers to Atkins to LA Weight Loss to fasting to Slim fast, etc. I work out three times a week; my consult with the obesity doctor went very well. My "Good cholesteral is through the roof" and he said that is directly related to my work out routiune. I am confident that WLS is the right weight loss tool for me. I research everyday about the risks, benefits, and overall factors that go along with gastric bypass. This surgery is going to be the tool that improves my future health and my overall quality of living. I will definitely cont. to eat healthy cut out carbs, and take multi vitamins as well as stick to my work out plan. I will probably begin going an extra day a week after I recover from surgery and get my strength back. I am convinced that this surgery is the best progressive type of treatment for me.

I am VERY MOTIVATED to have this weight loss surgey to prevent possible weight related health issues in my future. I have battaled with my weight for my entire life. I have made it my responsibility to resolve it now. I have tired diet program after diet programs with minimal results just to gain what I lost plus some. I believe that the bariatric surgey will save my life in many ways.
