I have been overweight as long as I can remember. As a freshman in high school, I wore a size 18/20. I have suffered from depression that long also. I have tried every diet out there without success. The best I ever did was to lose aroung 90 lbs 11 years ago by just watcching what I put in my mouth and walking 2 miles a day. Then I started a new job, with weird hours and stopped walking as much, and the job was sitting for 8-10 hours every day and the weight just started coming back. I ended up gaining all that weight plus about 20 lbs over the next 5 years. I actually reached 300 lbs after I promised myself I would never see that number. lol I hovered between 295 and 305 for the past 5 years. I first checked into wls about 2 years ago, but chickened out. I gave weight watchers one more chance, lost 30 lbs but put it right back on. Finally, this summer I had had enough and begin checking into wls again, and made the decision. I'm still early (7 weeks out) but I have lost 50 lbs and feel better than I have in years. I don't use the cpap anymore and have more energy than I can ever remember having before. I have gotten sick a few times, but am learning as I go. I am looking forward to being able to do things I haven't done since I was a kid. I can't wait to go to the amusement park this summer and ride the rides without having to worry if I am too big. Good luck to anyone thinking of having wls and pray for guidance if you are on the fence, he will show you the way!
