Okay, so here goes. It has been six months since my surgery and I am happy to report that 6 months and 1 day after surgery, I reached ONEDERLAND!!!!! I am soooooo excited. I went shopping with my neice today and am happy to say I was able to buy size 16. I really can't remember the last time I saw that size, but I think it was in 8th grade. How wonderful this surgery is. I still cannot eat bread/wheat products, but who cares! I am 1lb. away from the Century Club!! THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!!! I even posted a new picture of me from 1 month ago and I can hardly believe the difference. I very rarely dump and usually stay with mostly proteins, some vegetables and more fruit than vegetables. The only problems I have had with fruit is the other day watermelon made me a little nasueas, but it hadn't happened before so maybe my pouch was a little tired. I am still looking forward to my cruise in the fall and meeting my OH friend and future roomy, Maria. I haven't bought any clothes for it because I don't know what size I will be in then. Now, that is a good problem to have!! If you are reading this, thanks for visiting and see you on the boards!

well, it seems as if i am in one of the well-known, hated stalls. i haven't seen the scales move for a week now. i think i have to take a look at my water and protein intake. i think i will start using the fitday website that is talked about on the boards so often. i still find myself using a "liquid" type diet because i am so afraid of dumping. i havent been able to do chicken, too dry i guess. turkey breast seems to be okay. hamburger, well it depends on the day for that. i do eat alot of cheese and thank god for wendy's chili! well, tomorrow is a new day, will write more later.
3 MONTHS OUT!!!
Mar 26, 2007
Wow, cant believe it has been 3 months already. Things are going great. As of today, I have lost 67 lbs! What a wonderful feeling. Saturday night at work, I waved to a lady I hadn't seen for a long time and she followed me into the restroom and said, "Amy is that you? Girl, what did you do to yourself? You look really good." Needless to say, I smiled the rest of the evening. I can barely remember the aching back, legs and knees. I still beleive this is the best thing I have ever done for myself! Cant wait to see what next week brings! Tomorrow I meet with a personal trainer at the YMCA to get a regular exercise program started. I think it will be better than just the walking.
