Due to certain health issues, my Dr gave me only one option to meet my personal needs. That was a BPD or Bilio Pancreatic Diversion, the original surgery that the DS was dirived from. As you can see on the page of this attatchment it compares the differences between BPD/Roux n-y/DS. As far as what is removed and so on.Take a look it's interesting. Please notice, that in 2004 there were only 40 Dr's performing the DS surgery.
