MORE COMPLICATIONS

Sep 04, 2014

Well, as I was preparing for shoulder replacement surgery on Oct 8th I needed a CT scan. It showed an abnormality in my lung. They called and I went for another Ct of the lung. There was definitely a nodule. Had to see a lung surgeon, he felt antibiotics might help, they made me feel like I had the flu for 15 days. After finishing an ex ray and more labs were done and back to the Dr. No change, so he did a Bronchoscopy to get a biopsy and flush to remove the clogged area's in the lung. Thank God I just got the results no malignancy, labs showed no RA or Lupus both of which can cause these kind of nodules. Now, with this information it is a wait and see situation so the lung has a chance to completely become unplugged could take a few months. My breathing is labored which is keeping me from doing much of anything! Right now my goal is to not gain any more weight during this mess. Another CT scan in early Dec and then depending on results possible surgery. Here we go again. I get so discouraged, every time I attempt to 'get back on track' something else crops up. Not to mention that my shoulder and upper arm are useless to me and in constant pain. That surgery is on hold until this lung issue is completely resolved.
