2009 is here and so am I!
Oct 04, 2007
I haven't been this happy is many yrs. I get doors opened for me & no longer am invisible. I feel so good about life and myself. No problems with my surgery and if I had it to do over I would in an minute.
I'm 190-192 pounds and wear a size 14 or 16 depending on who makes it. Most of my blouses are a large or a 16. I was in the post office the other day and looked up in the mirror and saw my image. OMG!!! I could hardly believe my own eyes. I looked average sized!! What a feel good moment.
I adore shopping at most store off the rack!
I love being about to sit with legs crossed and not having them get go numb.
I love eating just a little and feeling full.
I love walking and not getting out of breath.
I love wearing smaller sizes.
I love being able to get in and out of the car easily.
I love getting hugged by my grandkids and having them say,
"I can put my arms around your waist,Nana!!! We fit"
I love going to higher altitude areas and not getting so blasted out of breath.
I love that my gluclose is now 85 and not prediabetic.
My blood pressure's 116, no longer 165
Life is good and getting better all the time.
Hope you are well and happy too!

*I Attend Kaisers WLS Support Group
in Richmond & Livermore/Pleasanton.
Being plugged into a Support System is vital to me.
I hang around people who understand the
seriousness of obesity & are committed to their positive WLS lifestyles.
I was told early on to put into practice "now" the things I'll be doing after the surgery, like exercising, taking vitamins, eating wholesome foods (within a 1200 calorie plan) so they can become well established habits. Also to use time to my advantage.
I'd like to say to my dear Richmond friends:
Debi, Sara, Sue, Judy, Michelle, Kimberly, Joanne, Monique, Judy & all your sisters,Arley, Christine, Laura, Linda, VickiO, Sally, Maria ,Mimi, Joyce, Pat & her cousin, Cathy, Jill, Ellen,Barbara, Vicki R., Kelly, Karen, Marianne, Pam, Jen, Bev, Elizabeth, Sarah, Kelly, Annabelle, Dave, George, Mike & Steve, YOU ALL INSPIRE ME.
Also, I attend a local Kaiser meeting in Livermore/Pleasanton.
Thank you, Joyce, Angela, Elaine,Pat, Laurel, Judy, Rosemary,, Kathy, Marra,Carol, Jan, & Suzanne for being so helpful with my questions & all the things you've given me.
And last but not least,
Thank you ObesityHelp.com, who is made up of all you wonderful people. You have enriched my life in numberous ways. I've enjoyed getting to know many of you, reading your posts just when I needed them, being amazed by your b/4 & after pictures, laughing at the humor, & a few tearful moments of
understanding the severity of obesity.
How do I say thanks for sharing what I needed?
May God truly Bless YOU ALL.
