"Dr. Rod and his staff are the best around! I am a pretty meticulous and anal person and I researched many surgeons in the Texas area and I was SOOOOOOOOOOOO impressed with Dr. Rod and his staff. Way more than anyone that I had researched. They are EXTREMELY organized, professional, kind, courteous and have great follow up. Dr. Rod meets with all of his patients prior to having surgery, is excellent with you during the surgery (and even thanked me for allowing him to take care of me...WOW!), and meets with everyone post op for appointments. Most surgeons that I have heard of don't do this...he is just awesome. I got approved in one day, had a VC Filter put in a few days later, had preops done the day after that and then surgery a week later. They are just so awesome. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Rod and his staff to EVERYONE!
Oh, they give everyone as part of the seminar a Discharge Notebook (aka WLS bible)..it is huge and filled with so much information on pre - op, surgery plans and post op (including a huge nutritional section and exercise plan). They also have a mandatory post op seminar for patients with a psychologist and Karen the nurse. It is just awesome!
