Monday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. Hi April, Congrat, I had my surgery on Sept. 13, 2006. I did not qualify with my insurance company, so I was a cash patient. I have lost 58 pounds since then. I think it's the best thing I could have done for myself. I had to decide to either buy a new car or have the surgery. I decided on having a new body so that when I get the new car I will look good in it.

Well, I'm getting closer. I've gotten a $ amount from the hospital and now I'm waiting to hear back from the insurance company. Once the insurance company approves, I can set a date. I'm so excited! :)

Well, it's looking like I'm do not have enough comorbities to qualify for the surgery. Basically, my cholesterol, blood pressure, and sugar are in good shape for now. Eileen at Dr. Tillquist's office has been the best with helping me. I will continue to search new avenues. Thanks all!

I have sent the first letter to my PCP and awaiting a copy of the letter being sent to Dr. Tillquist (my surgeon). I am anxious to see how this ball will roll. My insurance told me flat out on the phone, "no, you do not have coverage for WLS". However, I have seen others get the surgery with my same insurance and plan and group...etc. So we'll see. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Love to you all!!!! April
