I had surgery Sept.29,2004, I weighed 294 pounds and was approved by the insurance company 1st time trying. After approval my surgery was scheduled one week later. I have had no complications from surgery. My lowest weight after surgery was 138---which I was not comfortable with and found that 144 felt good. We moved from Maine 2 months after my surgery to Texas---the doctors there were not as "good" as my doctor was here(support group was full of people who had major complications)----I did not like it at all. In Jan. of this year we moved back home. I love being here but we were houseparents in a therapeutic foster home for 13 children(5-18yrs old)and feel like my heart was ripped out. I gained 16 pounds in 6 months------sooooooo I am trying to get back on track. I now know the support group meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month and will try to attend. My family member who was ill is now much better so at least I feel good about coming home and spending more time with him. So thats my story----I would love to make some friends who went through surgery too and have that in common----
