Revision surgery date 1/15/18

Jan 03, 2018

I made it through another military move and started the process over again for my revision SVG to RNY. The doctor I chose in the area was not a good choice, unfortunately it took me several months to realize it. I am thankful that I was able to talk with my insurance company about my concerns and was allowed to go back to my doctor who was previously scheduled to do the procedure. The only downside is he is about 4 hours away and we have to drive back and forth for the appts and the surgery. I am so confident in him as a surgeon that I know it will be well worth it. I started my two week preop diet yesterday and I am scheduled for my revision January 15th. I am a little nervous, but coming back on this site and reading about the journey of others has helped calm my nerves. Due to foot surgery in October and still not being released to work or exercise I now weigh 230 lbs. So that's a total gain prepregnancy of 44lbs. Being back on this liquid diet is helping me to understand how my weight gain has occurred. Dealing with the GERD with salty carbs and not exercising equals weight gain. It's time to get mentally and physically and emotionally back on track. I'm ready to hit the reset button and get back to reaching my goals.
