I've been overweight my whole life. Through high school, I weighed 300lbs. It slowly made it's way to 350lbs in the last few years. I finally decided to do something about it! I consulted my doctor January 9 2006 about the possibility of RNY surgery...and he told me I was a perfect canidate (I have asthma, high blood pressure and 50 BMI) and sent a form to Tri-Care. They approved of the surgery January 11 2006 and then I was set up with an appointment with the closest surgeon, Dr. Weiner, on February 27th. I didn't think that month would ever pass! Now, I'm scheduled for surgery March 28 2006. I'm so excited! Dr. Weiner speaks well English and I understand him 95% of the time. He answered al my questions and even gave me a Patient Information packet that has every little piece of information I could imagine! And just incase I still had a question, he gave me his email address. I asked him a question, and 2 hours later it was answered!

I returned home April 2nd. Everything went well. I went to touch base with my primary doctor yesterday and I now weigh 302lbs. The day before surgery, I weighed in at 339. I have no pain whatsoever, unless I drink to fast or eat to fast, though I am still on liquids. I've tested with sugar free applesause, with no complaints and even hardened my bowels a bit. I think it's from the applesause. Could be from the protein shake. Other then that, everything is moving smoothly. I had some problems with some nurses at the hospital (language gap) but I'm obviously alive and well. I can't wait for April 18th cuz I will be off liquids. I get my stitches taken out tomorrow, which is one other thing to celebrate!

I'm doing wonderful. I've lost about 100 pounds in three months. I had my follow up with my surgeon, and he says everything is going great! I'm excited! Only downfall is, my clothes are getting too baggy!

Doing great!!! I have so much energy now! My 21st birthday is on the 28th, so I'm excited to finally be in my twenties, I guess. I'm still crazy about my husband, and when I took my "after" pictures for the month of July...he said I was hott. Made me get all...butterfly-ee in the stomach. :) I love that man!

Wow. I can't believe I weigh 207lbs. Well, as of December 28th, I do. I weigh myself again on January 28th...and we'll see. I don't *feel* like I've lost anymore weight...but I guess we'll see. If it's just a pound...I will be thrilled. It means one step closer to ONEderland!!!
