one day postop

Well, I did it....I am one day postop now..sipping ice chips and I have already had a perfect leak test.  I have showered and walked and have beautiful flowers from DH too!  The only real issue is the dull burn every 30-45 seconds that I have.  Dr. Alvarez said this is perfectly normal and wil resolve as my stomach....or sleeve, heals over the next few days.  The staff here is amazing and unbelievably attentive.  Dr.  Alvarez and so great and everything I read is true...even better in person.  I slept most of yesterday but I remember Dr. A and his assistant come to see me at least 5 times and the anesthesiologist came by this morning as well as Dr. A twice already.  I am thankful the surgery is over and I am thru it safely....now on to the weight loss. Yeah!
