The waiting game...

Okay, so I went to my first informational session at NSMC.  I met the surgeon... he's a fabulous guy.  I got the info packet and slogged though all the crapola they require.  I've placed the requisite phone calls to the necessary people and places.  And now... I wait.  I wait for the surgeons appointment so I can schedule the Wellness (cardiac, nutrition, etc.) appointment.  I wait for the psych people to verify my insurance so that they can schedule an eval two months from now.  I wait to attend the two MANDATORY pre-surgical support groups... alas there isn't one in May, so my surgery has to wait until July at the earliest.  

Did I mention that I HATE waiting?  My husband will tell you that I am the most impatient person he has ever known.  I would agree, but quite frankly I'm too impatient to wait for my answer!  So perhaps these are the first steps to recovering the person I used to be... or the person I'd like to be.  Waiting patiently for things to happen in the right time.

Are we done yet?  I've got a new life to start....
